Ingredients

  • 4 salmon filets
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • teaspoon zest of 1 lemon finely zested
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  2. Combine brown sugar, lemon zest, chili powder, cumin, sesame seeds, sea salt and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Divide mixture evenly and pat on both sides of salmon fillets.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add olive oil and sesame oil. Place salmon fillets in hot pan, reduce heat to medium and cook until crusty and caramelized on the outside and just opaque in center, about 4 minutes per side. Serve immediately with lemon slices for garnish.
