Greetings from the Café!
Just wanted to take a minute to wish all of you a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving. If you live in the U.S. and you’re anything like me, you’re probably scurrying around today getting ready for tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day. But hopefully all of us, wherever we live, will take the time to savor this special time of year, contemplate our many blessings and give thanks to God, our Creator and Sustainer.
Here at the Café, we have so much to be thankful for; and you, our readers, rank high on that list. We love sharing our recipes, adventures and lives with you. Without you, The Café would not be worth continuing. A giant thank you from us!
If you’re a regular Café follower, you might know that one reason I’m scurrying today is that we just returned Monday from a trip to the UK to visit our daughter and her family. I’m not having a huge crowd, just dinner for six, but it still didn’t give me a lot of time to prepare. When I went out to buy a turkey yesterday, there was only one left at Costco. It was 22 pounds! Guess what? Everyone will be going home with LOTS of leftovers.
I thought some of you might be in the same boat tomorrow. Or maybe you don’t have any leftover turkey, just want a great soup to enjoy over the weekend or during the upcoming holidays. I’ve served this wonderful Turkey (or Chicken) Pasta Soup several times now and everyone loved it. It’s one of those flavorful, classic soups that never seems to grow old. This one has a few fun new twists.
So save all your turkey leftovers and check back Friday for the recipe. Happy Thanksgiving!
Chris and Scott
