Did you know certain foods can help boost your immune system? Along with getting plenty of sleep and exercise, a healthy diet full of nutritious foods can help your body's immune system. I think we could all benefit from that right about now! According to Healthline, these super foods include citrus fruits, broccoli, dark leafy greens like kale and spinach, blueberries, ginger, garlic, salmon and almonds. We've rounded up some of our favorite Café recipes featuring these healthy ingredients.

Like many of you, we haven't been able to obtain all the supplies that are needed for some of these recipes but they're all pretty flexible. If you can't get a hold of one or two ingredients, this is the time to just skip them or get creative and substitute something else. If you have questions regarding any of the recipes and possible substitutions, you can leave a comment and I will answer it as soon as possible. Cheers! We will get through this!

  1. I love your blog! Thank you so much for sharing so many wonderful recipes for free! The detail and food presentation are amazing. Stay safe in this crazy time. xx

  2. The contents of your blog are excellent, really exceptional. But you have your posts so jam packed with ads and intrusive, reoccurring videos that I have come to question whether it is worth the hassle to get to the recipes. I thought that perhaps if you were aware of just how frustrating and difficult it is to navigate your posts, you might consider altering your format. I feel that over half the time I spend reading your posts is devoted to the struggle to get to the ccontent. I don’t begrudge you the opportunity to earn money by selling ads, but the amount of ads and intrusive self publicity is excessive, and is having what I am sure is the unintended side effect of alienating your readers.

    1. I’m sorry that this has been a problem for you, Susan. I truly wish we could have a website without ads but it’s how we earn a living.

A recipe like the ones above (or any of ours) takes hours of testing, tweaking and re-making before they're ready to share. Then it takes anywhere from 2-4 hours for the photoshoot and that’s not even counting editing the pictures and writing the posts. On top of that, there is tons of behind the scenes work involved and we have a team of other people that work for us (all over the world) who are dependent on us for a portion or all of their income. This is actually a full-time business for us and, just like television or magazines or newspapers, ads are the way we earn our living and pay for the costs of running a website and purchasing equipment, which is very expensive. After all the expenses, we don’t earn a ton of money but we love what we do and love to offer our recipes to others for free.

That being said, the only “pop up” ad that is supposed to be on our site is the one at the bottom which can easily be x-ed out. I’m not sure exactly what you’re experiencing. Again, I apologize for the frustration and wish you the best.

      Kind Regards,
      Chris
