Set a gorgeous spring table with this easy, elegant tablescape! Think fresh greens, soft pinks, simple DIY touches & stylish tableware (all linked!).
I don't know about you, but there's something about spring, seeing new life burst forth outdoors, that makes me want to freshen things up inside, too. Especially the dining table! I thought you might enjoy a little inspiration from this easy and elegant spring tablescape.
Although I'm using it for our Easter celebration, it would also be perfect for other springtime celebrations, graduations, baby or bridal showers, Mother's Day, a fancy tea party, a spring brunch... really, any time you're gathering family or friends at this beautiful time of year!

🌸 Easy spring table setting ideas
This table features a soft, inviting palette of green and white, accented with delicate pink napkins, wheatgrass planters, and flickering candlelight - the perfect combination for a fresh, welcoming vibe. And best of all, it's incredibly simple to recreate.
I started with a beautiful green and white patterned tablecloth as the foundation. From there, I layered on clean white dishes, soft pink napkins, and a few fun details that make the whole table feel fresh and special.

💕A simple napkin folding technique - The Fleur de Lis
One of my favorite elements? The napkin fold! It's a French technique called the Fleur de Lis fold. Sounds fancy, right? But it's actually super easy - and adds such a polished touch to each place setting. I'll show you exactly how to do it - no origami skills required!

Fleur de Lis Napkin Fold:
- Lay the napkin on a work surface in the shape of a diamond.
- Fold the bottom corner up to form a triangle.
- Take the bottom left corner and fold it up to the top center point of the triangle.
- Repeat with the right corner. You should now have a diamond shape again. (Don't worry if there's a little space in the middle or if the edges don't perfectly meet - that's normal!)
- Fold the top left point out to form a "wing."
- Fold the top right point out to mirror the left.
- Slip the bottom point into a napkin ring and pull gently to shape the folds into the Fleur de Lis.
- Voilà! Sit back, pretend you're French, and admire your handiwork.
🌱 Wheatgrass centerpieces - a fresh and natural touch

For the centerpiece, I went natural with white rectangular planters of wheatgrass. They add such a lovely pop of green and bring that vibrant feeling of spring to life right on the table.
You can sometimes find wheatgrass plants at health food stores or upscale grocers like Whole Foods or Fresh Market. But it's also easy (and inexpensive) to grow yourself, and it adds such a beautiful, organic touch.
🌾 How to grow wheat grass
Plan ahead - it takes about 10-12 days for wheatgrass to grow from seed to full, lush greenery.
- What you'll need:
- Wheatgrass (also called wheatberries) - available at health food stores or online
- A shallow container with good drainage
- Soil, peat moss, vermiculite, or coconut coir
- Water and a spray bottle
- A bright window for light
- Instructions:
- Soak the wheatberries in water for 8-12 hours.
- Rinse and drain the soaked seeds.
- Fill your container with your soil of choice (at least 1 inch deep).
- Moisten the soil - damp, not soaked.
- Spread the soaked seeds evenly across the surface. You want to cover the surface of the soil with seeds.
- Cover the container with a cloth or plastic bag for 2-3 days.
- Mist the seeds twice a day, replacing the cover each time.
- After 2-3 days, once the seeds have germinated, remove the cover and place in a bright window.
- Continue to mist twice a day. Lightly water as needed to keep the soil moist.
- In 5-7 more days, the grass will be tall and lush - ready for display!
🌺 Create a meadow of wild flowers
Once the wheatgrass is nicely established, I like to add flower stems to create the look of a spring meadow. The result is soft, whimsical, and perfect for spring.
To keep the flowers fresh, I use florist tubes - small water-filled tubes with caps that hold individual stems. Just fill them with water, insert the stem, and tuck the tube into the soil, peat or coconut coir. I prefer florist tubes with pointed tips for easier placement.
The wheat grass planters will last for 1-2 weeks. The grass can be trimmed with a scissors if it gets unruly. Add fresh flowers as needed to maintain a beautiful presentation. Keep things simple with one type of flower or use a combination, as pictured above, to match your decor!

💐 Short on time? Try this easy centerpiece idea
If you don't have time to wait for wheatgrass to grow, here's another easy, beautiful option! These glass bud vases come in a set of 12, with three different sizes.

They make a lovely centerpiece, whether you use a single larger bloom or a small, delicate bouquet. Every time I use them, I get compliments and questions about where they came from!

✨ Finishing touches
To complete the look, I added flickering candles in clear or tinted glass votives - you can match them to your table decor for a cohesive effect.

A few charming accessories like napkin rings and elegant silverware add just the right amount of polish.

I had a hard time deciding between the dogwood napkin rings (above) and these pretty bunny rings.

One last idea? A fun edible touch! I love to scatter Jelly Belly candies across the table in colors that complement the theme. For this table, I used them to circle a large centerpiece candle - it added such a whimsical pop of color!

After seeing the bud vases on your website, I had to order some. I got the set of three as I don’t have a big house/table. I’m getting my table ready for Easter & put tulips in the vases. They look beautiful! I like them so much, I might have to break down and buy another set of three. 😁 I got the hang of the Fleur de Lis napkin fold. It really is easy & looks nice!
Thanks!
