Once you try these three fabulous granola recipes, you'll never want store-bought again! In addition to being infinitely more delicious than anything you can buy, all of these recipes come together quickly and require minimal effort - a win-win-win!
Whenever we're expecting guests, I whip up one of these three fabulous granola recipes. That makes breakfast super simple for me and everyone loves starting the day with a bowl of yogurt topped with fresh fruit and granola. Of course, I often add a quiche or fritatta and maybe a batch of scones, biscuits or muffins but it's nice to have a light, healthy option.
These three fabulous granola recipes are all super simple to make. Basically you just combine the dry ingredients (oats, nuts and/or seeds) in a big bowl. Warm the wet ingredients (oil, maple syrup or honey) in the microwave. To finish up your part, simply combine the two, stir well and turn the mixture out onto a sheet pan. The oven, magically, does the rest of the work while you read a good book, catch up with a friend or take a little nap. An hour or so later, you've got a beautifully golden, super crunchy, amazingly delicious batch of granola. Sound good? Here are the recipes:

Just a quick question. . . . you guys appear so fit and your recipes are delicious. Can you tell us what you eat in a normal day? I LOVE your muffins and that's my weakness but know I can't have every day. Thanks.

Thank you, Denise, for your kind words!
Honestly, keeping fit is a constant struggle, especially with a recipe development website. We try to eat a pretty healthy diet, for the most part. A low-calorie, high-protein breakfast which is usually a low-carb wrap and eggs or a chicken sausage and some fresh fruit. We often will just eat two meals a day, a later breakfast, an apple halfway through and then dinner. Of course, it's difficult when we are always testing recipes but we try to give a lot away.
Exercise is also a big key for us. We love to ride bikes, hike and walk and we do Pilates several times a week. Even with all this, it's a struggle to keep the weight down!
