The first time I made one of these easy chocolate desserts, Scott took one taste and said "Wow, this is the best chocolate dessert you've ever made"! I knew we had a winner on our hands as I had made a LOT of desserts over the years with chocolate as the star.
The two recipes are similar. The first one listed below is a basic blender pot de crème, the second features toffee bits and a wonderful toffee sauce.
What is Pot de Crème?
Pot de Crème is a delicious French dessert custard that originated in the 17th century. The name literally translated means "pot of custard" or "pot of cream", which also refers to the porcelain cups in which the dessert is served. The ingredients usually include eggs, egg yolks, cream, milk, and flavorings, such as chocolate or vanilla.
The traditional method of making Pots de Crème is a bit fussy. The milk and/or cream is heated and flavored, then mixed into eggs and egg yolks which have been whisked. The mixture is strained and poured into cups, which are then baked in a water bath. The whole procedure is somewhat time-consuming.
These Blender Chocolate Pots de Crème give similar delicious results with minimal labor. Check out the recipes below and make those chocolate lovers in your life VERY happy!

I made your chocolate pot de creme last night for our weekly family dinner. What a hit. The table went silent at the first bite. My 8 year old grandson said, "Just let it melt in your mouth". He rates desserts by "slow" or "fast". This was definitely a "slow" one. Thanks for sharing.
