I don't want to sound sacrilegious or unpatriotic, but I was never a fan of tomato soup ( the All-American soup of choice) as a child. I had a very limited, picky palate and back in those days, the only tomato soup people knew about was the condensed stuff in the red and white can. Fast forward many years (and slightly more developed taste buds), I was shocked with my first spoonful of "real" tomato soup... so delicious!
