Greetings from the Café!
Just wanted to take a minute to wish all of you a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving. If you live in the U.S. and you're anything like me, you're probably scurrying around today getting ready for tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day. But hopefully all of us, wherever we live, will take the time to savor this special time of year, contemplate our many blessings and give thanks to God, our Creator and Sustainer.
Here at the Café, we have so much to be thankful for; and you, our readers, rank high on that list. We love sharing our recipes, adventures and lives with you. Without you, The Café would not be worth continuing. A giant thank you from us!
If you're a regular Café follower, you might know that one reason I'm scurrying today is that we just returned Monday from a trip to the UK to visit our daughter and her family. I'm not having a huge crowd, just dinner for six, but it still didn't give me a lot of time to prepare. When I went out to buy a turkey yesterday, there was only one left at Costco. It was 22 pounds! Guess what? Everyone will be going home with LOTS of leftovers.
I thought some of you might be in the same boat tomorrow. Or maybe you don't have any leftover turkey, just want a great soup to enjoy over the weekend or during the upcoming holidays. I've served this wonderful Turkey (or Chicken) Pasta Soup several times now and everyone loved it. It's one of those flavorful, classic soups that never seems to grow old. This one has a few fun new twists.
So save all your turkey leftovers and check back Friday for the recipe. Happy Thanksgiving!
Chris and Scott

Happy Thanksgiving to you! Many blessings!!!!
I'll be thinking of the 6 of you as you tuck in to what I know will be a fantastic dinner - including a turkey the size of a volkswagen. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Chris, too. Thanks for a beautiful blog and yummy recipes!
Blessings...
Thank you Donna!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Scott, Chris. I very much enjoyed your London photos especially the photo of your girls as you were leaving the house. You are so wise to take the time to see them as often as you can. A 22-pound turkey, let's see. That's a 3 1/2 lb. slice per person. Bring on the gravy! You're right, we all have much for which to be grateful.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours too!
May your day be filled with many blessings.
Thank you for sharing all your recipes with us.
Happy Thanksgiving.
thank you Joanne!
Wow! A twenty-two pound turkey - crazy. The soup looks delicious. I will be looking forward to the upcoming post. I'm always looking for new ways to use leftover turkey - though we love our turkey sandwiches and turkey enchiladas. I hope you and Scott have a wonderful and not too stressful Thanksgiving!
Thank you Cathleen, hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!
Hi Chris and Scott, so glad you are back on American soil. You mean so much to so many of us. May God bless you all tomorrow. Give Emery a kiss for me. Lindsay too. Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you Linda, hope you had a wonderful day. I can always give Emery an extra kiss, no problem! 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving for you and your family, Chris! May your life be full of blessings... xx
Thank you Denise!
