  2. Love your Lemon Buttermilk Pound Cake and Herbed Cheddar Savory Irish Soda Bread. Buttermilk freezes beautifully—I freeze it in one-cup portions in quart-size ziploc freezer bags. Once thawed, whisk it really well and it’s good to go.
