I am so excited to welcome this new season - soup season, that is! Do you eat soup year-round? I certainly could, but my family feels differently, so I try and wait for the temperatures to cool off a bit. Soup makes such a great meal and it's even better as leftovers. These comforting soups are full of healthy vegetables. Just add a simple green salad or some warm crusty bread (here are some of our favorites!) and you're good to go. Enjoy!

  1. Once this heat wave breaks, I'm going to dive right into soup making! This roundup has sure put me in the mood. I'd slurp up any one of these yummy recipes!

  2. These recipes look soooo good, roasted butternut is one I’m going to try for sure!
Would you have a carrot dill soup? The soup we had at a little restaurant in Clear lake Iowa And is delicious, While purried it still has some shredded carrots.....maybe some cheese!

    1. Thanks so much, Joan!
I don't have a carrot dill soup but that sounds wonderful. I might have to work on a new recipe!

  3. Fall in Michigan means soup weather. Cooler temps will be on us soon, so your post is very timely. I enjoy bread-baking and one-pot meals. Fresh bread and soup...yum. I followed your link to Asheville restaurants and we’ll be in Asheville for our son’s wedding in November, so we’ll be doing the restaurant scene. Can’t wait.

    1. That's awesome Michael! If you need any other Asheville recommendations (restaurants, activities hikes, etc.) feel free to contact me.

  4. If only the weather would cooperate. As I sit here Sunday morning with nary a breeze and a temperature that threatens to be in the 90's, it's hard to get excited about soup. I sure hope it cools soon though, as your recipes look yummy!

    1. Haha! I know what you mean, Patti! Even here in the NC mountains, we're having much warmer weather than we've had all summer. But I guess that will really make us appreciate those beautiful, cool, fall days that are coming!

  5. All of these look so tempting! Have printed them all out. With Fall coming and the weather getting cooler, a bowl of soup sounds delicious!
