All of these easy dessert sauces can be made in minutes and stashed in the fridge. Then when it's time to entertain, dessert is just a carton of vanilla ice cream away!

I love having a few magic culinary tricks up my sleeve... little things that make having guests for dinner or dessert just a little bit easier and less stressful. These five dessert sauces are true lifesavers when it comes to entertaining!

If you keep one or more of these easy sauces in the refrigerator and a carton of vanilla ice cream in the freezer you've got dessert "made in the shade"! Just pull out some pretty bowls, warm up the sauce in the microwave or on the stovetop and you'll be the rock star, especially when you see all the happy faces all around the table.

If you want to be extra fancy, keep a few of these Easy Candied Pecans or these Maple Molasses Pecans hidden (they won't last if anyone knows where they are!) in the pantry to add a nice sweet crunch... so delicious!

Thought for the day:

"Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?
    Tell me, if you understand.
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
On what were its footings set,
    or who laid its cornerstone-
while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels[a] shouted for joy?

"Who shut up the sea behind doors
when it burst forth from the womb,
when I made the clouds its garment
and wrapped it in thick darkness."
Job 39:4-9
