  1. Hi Chris! First want to say I love your blog, all your recipes are fantastic. Second, do you think I could swap in part maple syrup for the sugar in this recipe? Maybe 1/2 or 1/4 of the sugar could be swapped? I'd love the scones to taste maple-y, but I'm not really a big fan of icing on top of scones (partly because it's a lot of extra sugar, and partly because I'm just lazy).

    1. Hi Serena, I'm afraid if you swap maple syrup for the sugar, you'll have too much liquid in the batter and the scones will spread. It might be better to use some maple extract or to simply brush the scones with some maple syrup when they come out of the oven.

  2. Nevermind the Maple bacon recipe... I found it in the scrolling bar at the top of the page.
    Sounds wonderful!

  3. Oh that coffee cake! What a dreamy slice that would be 🙂 We love the flavor of maple everything - great roundup!

  4. This is certainly Maple Week! I love all of these recipe ideas! I may have to give that Buttermilk Maple Toffee Sauce a go, it looks and sounds absolutely divine!
