Incredibly delicious, this Asian Honey-Sesame Salad Dressing goes so well with a myriad of salad ingredients and makes an amazing drizzling sauce.
This Asian Honey-Sesame Salad Dressing is at the very top of my obsession list right now. It's sweet, and a bit salty and spicy, all at the same time.
Obsessed. Merriam Webster defines this as "to haunt or excessively preoccupy the mind of". Do you ever have this problem? I suffer from it quite often and it usually has to do with some new recipe I'm developing and can't get my mind off of. And so my poor husband, Scott will have to endure whatever it is again and again... and again! Till I get it just right. He's very patient with me and my obsession problem.
When I was deciding what to call it, I thought about Asian Honey-Sesame-Poppyseed-Soy-Ginger-Brown Sugar Salad Dressing or Best-Most-Amazing-Goes-So-Well-with-EVERYTHING Salad Dressing, but neither of those seemed very search engine friendly, so I settled for Asian Honey-Sesame Salad Dressing. I do have to say though, those other names might give you a little better picture of my latest obsession.
It's true, it does go very well with so many different salad ingredients. I've served it tossed with field greens, arugula, Romaine, and butter lettuces. It's also fabulous with kale, cabbage, peaches, tomatoes, mangoes, nectarines, avocados, oranges, asparagus, green beans, really, just about everything!
Besides using this Asian Honey-Sesame Salad Dressing on salads, it also makes a great drizzling sauce for grilled chicken, shrimp, pork or steak. One evening, I brushed some salmon filets with the dressing and pan-seared them. Then I drizzled the filets with a bit more dressing just before serving - it made a delicious dinner entree.
Oh, are you ready for one more idea? Add a spoonful or two to a scoop of everyday mayo and you have a delicious, Asian-flavored sandwich spread that will transform a plain-Jane sandwich to something quite heavenly!
Try it, I have a feeling you too may become majorly obsessed - probably before you even finish your first salad. I know this yummy dressing will definitely be a frequent flyer in my refrigerator.
P.S. This Asian Honey-Sesame Salad Dressing is wonderful at anytime of year. During the summer months we're also obsessed with this Sweet Basil Vinaigrette. It's honestly, to die for!

This dressing is SOOOOO amazing. I hate beets (taste like dirt) but with this dressing I can eat them. I made a kale, strawberry and avocado salad with this dressing on for lunch ... I wish I would have made a bigger salad! LOVE IT!

Can't wait to try this. When I use a name brand dressing of that type I itch something awful... don't know what's in it that does that. Will make this over the weekend I think I will leave out the poppyseed. just doesn't seem to fit "Asia" gentre..
