A delicious selection of our favorite fall salads for your autumn menus, all bursting with fresh, healthy, seasonal ingredients!

If you're like me, you're starting to see glimpses of fall produce at the farmer's market and grocery store. Each time I go, it seems there's something new. I've been picking up butternut and acorn squash, sweet potatoes, pears and early season apples. All these wonderful autumn specialties have got me thinking about new recipes. I have tons of ideas for fun fall posts, but I thought that I'd get you in the mood too, by sharing some of our favorite fall salads.

They're perfect for weekday lunches or dinners but are also impressive for entertaining. I know you'll be sure to find something here that strikes your fancy!

  4. Chris I hate to be the one to bring this up but there is a problem with this post. How on earth could one decide which of these fabulous options to start with?! I could never choose they are all so great!

  5. I have to say that this is the most gorgeous group of salads I've seen in a long time! These would be perfect on my dinner table. The hard part is deciding which one first. I do love that pear and pomegranate though!

  6. It's Spring but I would enjoy every single one of these salads - just not all at the same time. They are all beautiful as well as healthy.

  7. You're the queen of fall salads, Chris! I love them too, they're a nice change from all the light summer style greens!

    1. Thanks Sue, I agree, I'm so happy to have season changes. As much as I love summer, I'm kind of done with it and ready to move on. But I know I"ll be welcoming it with open arms in about 9 months!

  8. Wow... To be honest, I couldn't choose one over the others. I'll have to try them all. And this is exactly what I intend to do: I will be saving them to one of my boards to try them later.

  9. How needs meat when there are salads like this to be eaten! All beautiful and wonderfully healthy!

    1. That's so true Tricia, although I enjoy a good piece of meat, I usually don't have much trouble passing it up if there's a yummy salad around!

  10. I don't know what I love more, your desserts or your salads??? Who am I kidding, I love everything your share. What a terrific round up!

  11. You already know I'll be making the couscous and squash salad next week. Thank you for suggesting it. And, that fargula, pear and pom looks delicious also. I agree with Laura, you make the most delicious salads.

  12. You make the best salads, Chris! I love that these are all filled with the jeweled colors of fall harvest!
