We were walking out of our local grocery store last week and saw the display below:

The sight made my heart beat a little faster as I LOVE pomegranates and all the fun, delicious things you can do with them. Just when fresh, vibrant spring and summer produce fades into a distant memory, these gorgeous "jewels" appear. I told Scott, "I'll be right out" and went back through the checkout line to purchase a few of the beautiful red orbs.

Every fall, when I come across the first display of pomegranates and begin to use them lavishly in all sorts of recipes, I'm thankful that God created these crimson-hued globes with their glistening ruby-red seeds. They certainly add a bit of glorious pizzazz to what could be a drab culinary season!
