Our favorite make-ahead recipes, perfect for Christmas morning. They can be prepped days before, so you can enjoy the holiday!
Do you have a special breakfast each year for Christmas? We have some family favorites that we have every year, but we also like to try new recipes too. These holiday-worthy recipes are perfect for your Christmas morning breakfast or brunch. The best part is that they can be made a day or even more ahead of time. When you wake up on Christmas morning, you can just put them in the oven and enjoy the morning with your family.
The muffins can be baked now and frozen. Just thaw and warm for a delicious breakfast. The same is true with the scones but you can also make them up to the point of baking. Then just freeze them (unbaked) on a sheet pan. Once they're frozen throw the scones in a ziplock bag, pull them out when you're ready to bake and pop them in the oven. They'll take a few extra minutes since they have been frozen but everyone around your table will think you just made them!

Thought for the day:
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby,
keeping watch over their flocks at night.
An angel of the Lord appeared to them,
and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid.
I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you;
He is the Messiah, the Lord.
This will be a sign to you:
You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Luke 2:8-12
