Pomegranate season is here! We've got a ridiculously easy trick to remove the seeds and 13 ways to use them.
Did you know that 99% of pomegranates grown in the US are from California? And that their peak season is from the end of September to December? Let's make the most of this fabulous time of year by using them lavishly.
I walked into our local grocery store last week and saw this display:
The sight made my heart beat a little faster as I LOVE pomegranates and all the fun, delicious things you can do with them. Just when fresh, vibrant spring and summer produce fades into a distant memory, these gorgeous "jewels" appear.
It's a wonder to me that God created these crimson-hued globes with their glistening ruby-red seeds to add a bit of glorious pizzazz to what could be a drab culinary season.

Thank you for these lovely pomegranate recipes. I see several that I will make as my own.
Separate issue: I have agreed to host Thanksgiving for 12 . It’s been a loooong time! 4 kiddos and the rest adults. I’d love to plan as many make ahead dishes as possible. I probably can give away rolls and dessert, if I choose. Knowing both will be store bought. And maybe that’s ok.
Thoughts?

Hi Mary, there are definitely things you can make in advance and freeze, including bread and dessert if you want. And everything doesn't have to be from scratch.
