Thought for the day:

After this, I looked, and behold,
a great multitude that no one could number,
from every nation, from all tribes
and peoples and languages,
standing before the throne
and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes,
with palm branches in their hands.
Revelation 7:9

  1. I used to bake homemade whole wheat bread all the time (there's something therapeutic in the kneading), but as I've grown older, I've developed a gluten allergy to flour. Do you think I can substitute regular flour in these recipes for gluten free? There are some that are better than others, but most of the time I am disappointed in baking results with GF flours. Someone told me I needed to add Xanthan gum - will try that.

    1. Hi Sunnysewsit, I am not the best one to ask about GF flour baking. I know I've gotten comments from other readers saying that they have successfully made some of my bread recipes with all-purpose GF flour but I would have to do a lot of testing to ensure that you would have good results.

I know there are websites out there that specialize in just this very thing. I really like (and trust) The Kitchn website. They have published this article which might be helpful for you: https://www.thekitchn.com/10-inspiring-blogs-for-glutenf-137359

  2. I admit to being intimidated by yeast breads, although I’ve made them in the past with good success. Every time I think about making yeast breads, I decide not to. I am going to set my self down, and tell myself to take a deep breath and make a yeast bread. I’ll start with one of yours.
    Thanks for the recipes!
